Our Management

Sascha Krines – Group Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Sascha Krines oversees the strategic direction of the Onlineprinters Group. He draws on extensive experience from his time in leading roles at prominent companies such as the MediaMarktSaturn Group, the e-commerce and fashion platform BestSecret and toy manufacturer Schleich. In his previous roles as Vice President and Managing Director, he was responsible for strategy, direction, finance and operations, among other things.

Simon Cooper – Chief Executive Officer Onlineprinters

As CEO, Simon Cooper is responsible for the e-commerce division of Onlineprinters. Since 2019, he has also headed Solopress, one of the UK’s leading online print suppliers and part of the Onlineprinters Group. Thanks to his many years of experience in the printing industry and as CEO of Solopress, he has extensive expertise in production, customer service, product management and marketing/sales.

Tobias Volgmann – Chief Financial Officer

Tobias Volgmann is responsible for overall accounting and financial planning across the Onlineprinters Group. Tobias is an accomplished finance specialist with a wealth of experience accumulated over many years in the consumer, retail and e-commerce sectors. His previous roles include positions at such companies as Görtz, Hussel and Thalia.

Our history

From a two-person enterprise to an international group of companies: Over the past 40 years, we have evolved into one of the largest online print shops in Europe with sites in several countries step by step and with the highest degree of quality and sustainability.

Foundation of the printing & publishing house Druckerei und Verlag E. Meyer GmbH

1984

Erwin Meyer establishes his print shop Druckerei und Verlag E. Meyer GmbH in Germany. His son Walter trains in offset printing and assists with the machines.

Foundation of Solopress

1999

Both founders of the print shop, Andy Smith and Aron Priest, became business partners. The British print shop Solopress was founded.

Foundation of LaserTryk

1999

LaserTryk came into existence by chance as Esben Mols Kabell and Anders Grønborg recognised their event agencys print demand and founded the Scandinavian print shop.

diedruckerei.des entry into e-commerce

2004

As a reaction to digitalisation, Walter Meyer launches the diedruckerei.de online shop. In this way, the company gets even more orders.

2008

An English-language shop goes live under the brand Onlineprinters. The customers outside the German-speaking regions can now also place their orders.

Digital printing investment

2010

With its investment in digital printing, diedruckerei.de is in line with the Zeitgeist. There is a trend towards smaller print runs that can be produced in this way.

Change of partners

2016

The funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital acquire a majority stake in Onlineprinters. Walter Meyer steps down from the day-to-day operations but continues as a shareholder.

2017-2020

The Onlineprinters Group is formed by merging diedruckerei.de/Onlineprinters, Solopress, LaserTryk and the Spanish print shop Copysell.

2022

Onlineprinters launches the TV campaign ‘Dieser eine Moment’ that shows the magic moment of unboxing. The stars of the commercial – company’s own staff.
