Properties of premium card stock
Our premium card stock inspires with its elegant look and luxurious, thick feel. Premium card stock has a bright white, even and smooth surface without any additional finish. We use state-of-the-art digital printing technology to print on premium card stock to create truly eye-catching products. Thanks to its bright white, sophisticated look and sturdiness, premium card stock is ideal to print exclusive business cards.
Multiple certifications
According to the DIN ISO 9706 standard on the ageing resistance of materials, premium card stock has a high oxidation resistance. Additionally, papers certified to this standard have an alkali reserve. These characteristics enable premium card stock to keep its brilliant white colour and sturdiness for a long time. However, the durability of the card stock also depends on the storage conditions and careful treatment. Moreover, our premium card stock is FSC certified.
Tips on choosing premium card stock
Is premium card stock writable?
The uncoated card stock is ideal to write on by hand. But since the surface is very smooth, the ink needs some time to dry.
What is the difference between premium card stock and chromo card stock aka folding box board?
We carry multi-ply chromo board in different paper weights from 280 gsm to 450 gsm whereas premium card stock is only available in 290 gsm. Chromo card stock comes with a glossy front by default. Other finishing options are possible for lighter paper weights, such as a matt, glossy or soft-touch film lamination. Premium card stock has no additional finish. Both card stocks are writable on the matt side.
What does "wood-free" mean?
"Wood-free" paper contains up to five percent lignin. Lignin is responsible for paper turning yellow. Due to the lower lignin content, wood-free paper preserves its white longer.
