CLASSY AND VERSATILE: CUSTOM PRINTED ACRYLIC SIGNS
Because of their unmistakable and impressive appearance, acrylic signs are ubiquitous in the reception areas of corporate offices and lobbies of all kinds. The signs made of acrylic sheet or plexiglass create a simple yet sophisticated look for any company, store, agency or other business. Crystal-clear and glossy, the acrylic sheet material adds a dimension of depth to your signage. Resembling glass, the acrylic signs are a lightweight, affordable and shatter-proof alternative to traditional glass signs that looks as sophisticated and elegant as its fragile counterpart. Acrylic sheet is a highly durable material that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Directional signs made of printed Plexiglas® sheets are made to withstand the elements. When used indoors, acrylic signs are great for decoration and to display photos or advertising messages in style. Plexiglas® is the brand name but is often used synonymously with acrylic sheet as a material.
PRINTING ON ACRYLIC OF VARIOUS SIZES
You can implement your creative project by printing on a variety of acrylic sheet sizes. We print your custom design either on square Plexiglas®, on standard sized sheets or on acrylic panels with special dimensions. If you want to go really big, we implement your artwork on an XXL acrylic sheet measuring 200 x 100 cm. But we also produce small signs such as room or house numbers sized 30 x 30 cm. You want to print on acrylic signs but can't find the right size for your needs? No problem! In addition to choosing a special size you can also use the custom size specification to order acrylic panels in any dimension imaginable. Define a custom width between 20 cm and 118 cm and a height between 20 cm and 84 cm.
PRINTING ACRYLIC SIGNS AND MOUNTING THEM PROPERLY
Acrylic panels are typically printed in reverse on the second surface of the clear acrylic sheet using UV curable inks. Subsequently, the complete area of the Plexiglas® sign is flushed with white ink for more contrast. This technique results in crisp colours that make your graphic pop.
When mounting the acrylic sign directly to the wall, the depth effect can get lost, especially on darker surfaces. To avoid this, you can optionally order four metal spacers to make your sign stand off from the wall and create an attention-grabbing 3D effect. The standoff wall mounts add a gap of about 2 cm between the Plexiglas® sign and the wall for increased depth and an eye-catching appearance. When printing acrylic signs, you can optionally order them with a 4.0 or 6.0 mm hole in each corner to facilitate installation of your Plexiglas® sign.
